My Family

May of 2009 I married my best friend Chuck. We had a very small wedding consisting of immediate family in Barnum, MN. This location worked perfect because it is half way between both of our family's homes.

Chuck is originally from the iron range, finished college up north and moved down just south of the cities for his first full time job.

I am originally from south of the river and met Chuck when I was still in college. In December of 2008 I graduated with a degree in Applied Visual Arts.

Chuck and I met on a blind date through a friend from up north that we shared. Chuck proposed to me on the 1 year anniversary of the first time we said 'I love you'. We were feeding the birds at his Grandparents home and he got down on one knee and asked for my hand in marriage. From that day forward I've been the luckiest woman in the world. :)

One short month after that, on Chuck's 24th Birthday, we found out we were pregnant!

We put our wedding on the front burner and were married May of that year. It rained the morning of our wedding, but that's good luck right? Other than that we had a beautiful day surrounded by family.

From there on out we were moving into our home in Shakopee, MN and getting ready for our bundle of joy to arrive November 11th.

Perfectly prompt, Madilyn Anne arrived (on her due date) November 11th, 2009 in Burnsville, MN. From the first moment I saw her I knew my whole life had changed forever. Madilyn has beautiful blond hair and big blue eyes she got from her Momma.

Our first family photo

Our first year with Madilyn was everything we ever wanted. We found out so much about ourselves and parenting along the way. I originally started this blog for keeping up family on what our little family was up to, full of photos and videos of our family. Until Thanksgiving of 2010 brought to us another surprise when we found out we were pregnant!

Our second bundle of joy was due to us July 22, 2011. Arriving (almost as promptly as his sister) on July 21, 2011 was our little/big guy, Caleb John.

Caleb has changed our family forever, his contagious smile and flirty ways keep this momma on her toes. So much has changed having Caleb around.

I was able to work full-time for a while until we decided we no longer want the kids in daycare Then Chuck switched his work schedule to the 4pm-midnight shift. I worked during the day and have the kids at night, and he has the kids during the day and works at night. To say the least we were saving money not having the kids in daycare (or minimal time in daycare) but it was absolutely wearing on us. We were each full time parents with full time jobs and we wouldn't see each other until the weekends. By that time our weekends were filled with grocery shopping, laundry and other chores that our time together and together with the kids was very limited so we made the biggest decision of them all.

As of June 5th 2012 I am now a stay-at-home mom :-) This is why I have decided to get the blog up and running again.

So much has changed in our lives these past couple years and I wouldn't want it any other way. I love my little family and can't wait to see what new adventures our life brings!

I LOVE BEING A MOMMA!
